Grandma ("J-Money") and Grandpa ("Bop-Bop") watched the kids while the adults went out. So...J-Money and Bop-Bop ordered in from Yummy House because the kids didnt want 'fish'...they wanted CHINESE! Ordered for delivery. We understand--beginning of August--that this IS the busy season. Deilvery took 1.5 hours. Bit long, eh? Reasonably priced...maybe a bit on the high side. Anyway...all were happy with the food. Kids and grandparents considered it "typical" chinese food: really good, but nothing "over the top." Lotsa leftovers for tomorrow!

Lousy customer service and food takes long time to get delivered and cold approx 2 hrs. Employees can barely speak English. When order arrives we have to send it back. Bad delivery service.

Sloooowwww... Ordered online at 7:11PM 8/19. Family of 5. Online order stated 45 minutes to be delivered. Food arrived at 9:06PM! 2 Calls in-between with little more info than the driver is on the way (1.7 miles). One person ordered rolls. Found a bag in side of the food bag with receipt that the rolls were actually from a restaurant named Okko... not even from Yummy. That food was picked up at Okko at 7:24PM. When the food did arrive, one roll was missing! All around a bad experience. i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone-- at least not the delivery service. To be fair, i did receive a 15% discount but i had to request a discount for the poor service, it was not offered to me. The missing item was also refunded.

Unoriginal and over priced. The kids wanted Chinese food so we tried this place. Big mistake. They cannot make anything that isn't prepackaged. Zero gluten free options. We will not go here again!

The last time I visited this place was years ago. Long before Yelp existed. Back then we dined in and had a good experience with the food. Today I ordered take-out and had the orange chicken and the egg foo young. With a side of fried rice. When I got home they did not give me the fried rice. Only steamed. The orange chicken was tough and chewy and the egg foo seemed rubbery. No flavor. Not fresh. I feel like they just scooped it out of the buffet to get rid of it as it was around 1:45 pm or so. So disappointed. I was so in the mood for Chinese. We have a place in California called Panda Express (fast food). They are so much better than what I had today. Too bad. Will have to find another place on my next visit.

Went with family (three kids). Decent buffet food at best. Dirty facility with terrible bathrooms. Avoid this place.

Absolutely love the buffet, but sometimes the food is alittle older. You can always find something that you want, the service is very good, and it is moderately priced at $6.99 so it makes sense for a family. We have done take-out and menu order also - both are very good.

Had some friends in town and decided to give this place another try, after a few years of not going. Big mistake Pigboy! Your first clue is the mostly abandoned strip mall the restaurant is located in. Ugly. Hideous. Dirty. Tree stumps. Next clue (red flag) is the air-conditioning did not seem to be working very well. Bad news in the hot weather of July. Last clue: my hand stuck to the back of he chair when I pulled it out to sit down. So, the service was good, and the food on the inexpensive buffet was okay. But - nothing was labeled! Dude, is that chicken, fish, pork, or cat? Not much variety on the buffet either, and the ambiance was, well, there was none. Hungry? Keep looking. There are lots of good restaurants on the island. This is not one of them.

I looked forward to take out at Yummy but either something changed or it was never as good as I remembered. Pros: order was ready when I arrived, decent size portions Cons: food was just OK. Kung Pao pork was long on celery, short on pork. Wonton soup was only fair. Lo Mein was so-so. I'm not that tough to please. I didn't see any other Hilton Head standout Chinese places so maybe this is as good as it gets here.

Pros: generous portions, ready for pickup in 10 minutes, friendly service Cons: just average food, scratches the itch for Chinese food but not good enough to keep me from trying other places Summary: decent Chinese food at best. Vegetables were fresh and crisp, but the meat (chicken and beef in this case) were not great.

Great little place. Big menu--I got sushi, which was very good. Rest of my group got Chinese. Not a bad dish out of all of them.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
